Gimme some space...

...some positive space...

This morning I finally remembered to bring in my name plate from my old job at another university (for some reason no one has nameplates at my current job, unless brought from somewhere else!). My name plate has a positive space campaign sticker on it and I left it there even though things are different in the prairies and people are much less likely to be out. I am completely out, no apologies, and everyone knows that in my office. But the positive space sticker seemed to really stump people. They stopped for a second, looked at it, generally said, 'positive space. Hmmh.' and kept going. Then it occurred to me tonight that chances are, none of them had ever heard of a positive space campaign (find examples here: http://www.queensu.ca/positivespace/; http://www.positivespace.ubc.ca/; http://www.positivespace.utoronto.ca/Page300.aspx). Which got me thinking that it is time for my little prairie university to have one... It may not be widely accepted, but I am going to make it my goal to get something in the works.
